NYT Business Day 8/9/10 has an article covering the subject of shows made for Web. An interesting reading. If we cannot view internet on tv maybe someday the tv will be replaced with shows on the web through our desktop. The downside is that my desktop does not contain the viewing area provided by our TV.
Of special note is "The promise of web video has risen and fallen over the last few years. What makes the current round of interest more compelling is the realization in the industry that the web video will not supplant television viewing anytime soon, just complement it."
So be it! But we believe that eventually web video will ultimately trump TV, when consumers catch on that the variety on the web is far greater than programming available through TV channels.
In the interim it may take broad selection of web video to entice the public. Let "complementing" begin!.
At least that is our opinion.
